Work Experience

The ANC-AU aims to be a very open and interactive organisation with a number of office internships and volunteer opportunities aimed to engage Armenian-Australians of any age or skill set to participate in their own unique way.

Some examples include taking Year 10 students on day-trips to Canberra or allowing current university students to spend the week in our national office during breaks.

Galstaun College year 10 student Garod Varjabedian is spending his work experience week at our office. Today, we took Garod with us down to Canberra for a couple of meetings and an event at the National Museum of Australia.

The ANC-AU also has a number of initiatives such as ANC-AU Call Centres during times of elections and data polling where volunteers are calling Armenian-Australian homes and gathering voter data as well as asking for information about issues that are important to the community.

Our former office intern, Siranush Massih, is making calls to Senators urging them to sign the Joint Justice Initiative's Affirmation of Support, which supports the recognition of the Armenian, Assyrian and Greek Genocides.
